Woody Harrelson (born July 23, 1961) is an American actor who portrayed Haymitch Abernathy in The Hunger Games film,[1], The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, and the final installment, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2.
Career[]
Harrelson is best known for his roles in Solo: A Star Wars Story, Rampart, Friends With Benefits, Zombieland, Venom (2018 film), and Kingpin. He is most famous for portraying Woody Boyd in the American TV show Cheers, for which he won an Emmy award and was nominated for an academy award. Harrelson was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for The People vs. Larry Flynt and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for The Messenger. He also appeared as Grace's boyfriend in the TV series Will & Grace. On May 10, 2011, it was announced that Harrelson would portray Haymitch in The Hunger Games trilogy. He also starred in the TV series True Detective.
