Willow Shields is an American actress who portrayed Primrose "Prim" Everdeen in The Hunger Games film, which was her big screen feature film debut.[1]
Biography[]
Shields portrayed Lisa Rogan (also known as Lisa Royal) in a 2009 episode of the USA Network drama In Plain Sight, entitled In My Humbolt Opinion, and the voice of a girl watching a gun fight in the 7-minute 2008 Western film short, Las Vegas New Mexico 1875. In 2011, Shields appeared on CBS in the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, Beyond the Blackboard, starring Emily VanCamp. She portrayed a homeless child named Grace.
Shields reprised her role as Primrose Everdeen in the Hunger Games sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. She has said that "just growing up as the character is going to be really fun". Shields continued playing the role of Prim in the final Hunger Games movie that was released in November 2015.
She has a twin sister, Autumn, and an older brother, River, who are also actors.[2] Shields was on the Video ETA's list of ten up-and-coming stars predicted to be A-listers by 2015, along with fellow The Hunger Games cast member Jacqueline Emerson. Willow was announced as a contestant on the 20th season of Dancing with the Stars. Her partner was two-time winner Mark Ballas. On April 27th, they were eliminated despite receiving high scores. She finished in 7th place.
