Vitus was a member of the prep team for Haymitch Abernathy during the 50th Hunger Games, along with Proserpina Trinket. He attended the University in the Capitol.[1]
Biography[]
Vitus grew up in the Capitol. During the time of the 50th Hunger Games, he was a University student and had two more years until graduation, meaning that he and Proserpina were assigned a less-desired district to work with.[1]
50th Hunger Games[]
Vitus and Proserpina entered Haymitch's cubicle to begin grooming him for the Games. Vitus reassured him about Magno Stift being the District 12 stylist. He and Proserpina photographed Haymitch, then shaved his body, trimmed his nails, and rubbed goo into his hair. After taking photos of the result, Vitus went to help his mother decorate for a Hunger Games party.[1]
In preparation for the interviews, Vitus and Proserpina went to Magno's apartment to see the costumes he had prepared, but were shocked to find him vomiting and delirious. Frantic, they ran to find Haymitch.[2] Proserpina phoned her sister, Effie Trinket, who brought clothes.[3]
Post-Games[]
During the Victor's Ceremony, Vitus and Proserpina fussed over each other's makeup. When Caesar Flickerman introduced the team, they ascended to the stage on a metal plate, clapping for themselves.[4] At the after-party, Vitus and Proserpina became tipsy, stopping by to congratulate Haymitch on his victory.[5]
When Effie arrived in District 12 on the morning of Haymitch's Victory Tour, she had to send him to the tub to clean him up before Vitus and Proserpina were willing to attend to him.[6]
Physical description[]
Vitus had metal apples studding his cheeks.[1] He never wore black.[2]
Family[]
Vitus's grandfather was a rebel sympathizer, and Vitus was ashamed of him.[3] He also had a mother that was enthusiastic about the Games.[1]
