- "Corrina, the woman who lost a son this morning, sitting on a stool, her eyes haunted — as her husband Tygart hawks some meager-looking chestnuts."
- —Early draft of the first film script
Tygart Blanken was a resident of District 12 whose son, Sage, participated in the 73rd Hunger Games.[1]
Biography[]
Tygart was only mentioned in an early version of a script for The Hunger Games film. He and his wife lived in the Seam, and their son was reaped for the 73rd Hunger Games.[1]
The District 3 male killed Sage with a bar mace on the second day of the Games. Later that same day, Katniss Everdeen saw Corrina and Tygart at the Hob. He was selling chestnuts "in a fog" when she gave him two purple berries she had picked earlier, explaining that they would help Corrina sleep, and that her mother took them.[1]
