The Snows' cook was a cook employed by the Snow family during the Dark Days.[1]
Biography[]
The Snows simply referred to this employee by their job title, Cook.[1]
Dark Days[]
The lady of the house, Mrs. Snow, went into labor during the first air raid of the Dark Days. Unable to get her to the hospital, the Grandma'am and the cook attempted to stop the flow of blood that soaked her sheets, but she died of what was likely a hemorrhage, and the baby was lost as well.[2]
Death[]
Early into the Dark Days, the Snows' cook was called to serve in the war, then died of the flu.[1] Since they were drafted, it's possible that they were male, though drafting is not explicitly stated to be segregated by sex in Panem.
Trivia[]
- After the events of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the Snows were able to employ a new cook, paid for by Strabo and Mrs. Plinth.[3]
