Development[]
Suzanne Collins collaborated with Dave Cobb on the songs for the film, discussing "the historic, philosophical and poetic inspirations for the lyrics... [and] connecting those works to our current world."[1] Collins also used to be a country music DJ, which gave her a solid foundation in the genre. She is known to be a fan of Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline, who served as inspirations for Lucy Gray Baird's voice.[2]
