Omg! I can't wait for this! Mainly to see Finnick in his... uh... 'costume' :D (really it's a net) But in reading the books I liked the 75th Hunger Games better than the 74th! (but Glimmer wasn't there...D:)

Amazingness is mine! lol:) GlimmerandSparkle 19:07, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

Or Johanna stripping... maybe they'll cut that out. :-(

Catching Fire Cast[]

I think Finnick Odair should be played byJames Gaisford look him up . He has those eyes that were discribed in the books and tan skin. He also has a bronze-ish hair color. He would be perfect!

Personally I am going to like this one MORE than the first (how can I it was so good)

But I liked the second book the most out of all the three!

2nd was my favourite i wonder who will play joahnna and finnink

lol i want betty white to play mags

trlololo

@Person Above ↑ They picked Finnick already it's Garret Hedlund.

Actually, the Finnick casting is still up in the air as of 6/2/2012--all we know for sure is that Hedlund was one of the names being mentioned, along with Armie Hammer (Social Network.) Included with those 2 was Taylor Kitsch, who officially said he is not inerested. Last month there was talk that Lionsgate was courting Twilight's Robert Pattinson, but he, too, officially bowed-out. I recommend reading IMDB and digitalspy to keep up on movie news. :) HagathaMackloud 17:35, June 2, 2012 (UTC)

The latest info is that Jena Malone has been offered the role of "Johanna Mason" for Catching Fire via IMDB HagathaMackloud 22:34, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

But She Still Might Take the role she most likly will but truth is i want Zoe to be Joahnna becuase she looks more like her. The hungery games 00:19, July 4, 2012 (UTC)

I also think that the second movie will be better than the first! And, i must say, i think that the second book is the best in the whole triology!!!! XD XD XD xD xD

Philip Seymour Hoffman[]

Hi, it has been comfirmed as of June 30th that Philip Seymour Hoffman WILL be playing plutarch heavensbee in the catching fire movie :) Merci99.239.158.167 19:34, July 2, 2012 (UTC)

Where? According to Google News he hasn't accepted the role yet as of July 2. BrokenSphere (Talk) 21:49, July 2, 2012 (UTC)

In the Hunger Games Facebook Page has been confirmed that he will play Plutarch Heavensbee Www.catchingfirecasting.com

Other Cast Members[]

Brooke Bundy announced that she signed on for all the films. Which means it is possible that Kimiko Gelman and Nelson Ascencio will appear also. Considering the Prep Team and Cinna are appearing I'm sure Latarsha Rose will return also. I just can't wait until they release the whole cast :D --Zannabanna 16:23, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

Since we are accepting the Facebook Hunger Games film page as the source for casting, shouldn't we hold off on Sam Clafin etc? HagathaMackloud (talk) 01:58, July 20, 2012 (UTC)

Yes. -TagAlongPam (talk) 02:06, July 20, 2012 (UTC)

I read on a blog that Catching Fire fil was cancelled. Reason: Lionsgate has bad economy. Is this true?

HolyShorts123 (talk) 07:41, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

No, it is going ahead. I haven't seen this blog anywhere and it is likely to be untrue as most of the parts have been casted. Rainbow Shifter (Write to me) 08:59, September 30, 2012 (UTC)
  • Peow!* I wouldn't stand it if my favourite book in the series wouldnt get filmatized. Thank you for busting the rumours :-)

Peacekeeper uniforms[]

I got a pretty logical reason for why the Peacekeepers now look much more intimidating and Star Wars Stormtrooper-like; Snow's cracking down on the Districts now that Katniss has gotten people ready to revolt, so the psychological effect'll come in handy; plus they'll be executing a old man just for saluting Katniss, so it'll help for them to be faceless goons instead of guys with a transparent visor that only shields the eyes. 1-1 Marines (unsigned)

There is evidence to suggest people can be more agressive if they are "faceless goons". But I'm not entirely sure why a "logical reason" is needed. 87.102.91.126 19:17, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

Who they'll kill off[]

I think they'll kill off Blight in the cornucopia bloodbath and the District 6 female probably because they won't have time to include their scenes maybe. (unsigned)

Blight's only important scene, so far as I remember, is his offscreen death that can be (amd was) summed up in one line of dialogue. And the District 6 female was just a short moment after the baboon battle. 87.102.91.126 19:19, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

A weird question but...[]

I missed about a minute or so of the movie between the part where Katniss, Peeta and Finnick are putting water on their wounds from the fog and the part where they are surrounded by baboons. Did anything important happen? 87.102.91.126 16:54, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

Anybody?

Well, there was a lot of screaming and then moaning (Which sounded SO wrong in my head....), and then the baboon-things attack. The only important part from it is that the Morphling dies.Mezincha (talk) 03:04, November 25, 2013 (UTC)Mezincha

Thanks. I saw the Morphling death, I just missed the part in between where they start to heal their wounds and when they notice the baboons, but I didn't miss any of the fight. Sounds like all I missed was some moaning that sounded like something other than pain relief, so I timed that toilet break well. One of the people I saw the film with wasn't so lucky - they missed Cinna's death because of a badly-timed toilet break. I guess that's the downside of having such a long and eventful movie. :) 87.102.91.126 18:59, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

Just puttin' this out there...[]

Just saw Catching Fire, it was awesome! So much like the book, almost everything was spot on!Mezincha (talk) 03:03, November 25, 2013 (UTC)Mezincha

I saw it on Saturday, and I too enjoyed it. A lot better than the first film, and I was pleased that they had built on some of the criticism that the first movie recieved. I didn't actually like the Catching Fire novel as much as the first book (though I preferred it to Mockingjay), mainly because there were a few slow parts, but the film version was perfectly paced and some of the less exciting stuff had been omitted. Therefore I think this might be one of the few movie adaptations of a book that has improved upon the novel. Also pretty good considering it's a sequel (the fact that we're now drowning under sequels is depressing - yes I'm looking at you It's A Wonderful Life 2!). 87.102.91.126 19:13, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

What were you guys thinking[]

What were you guys thinking during the part where Johanna starting stripping in the elevator? When I saw Katniss' face I just though she was thinking "The **** I put up with..."Mezincha (talk) 16:00, November 26, 2013 (UTC)Mezincha

I was thinking it was a funny scene. 87.102.91.126 16:51, November 26, 2013 (UTC)

Was that an avox I saw?[]

When Haymitch, Katniss and Peeta are sat round a table eating (I think it's the night before the games, but I can't remember), there is this strange person with bandages on their face standing behind them. Was it an avox? 87.102.91.126 16:54, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
