Weight?[]
The article includes the sentence, "the branches couldn't support her either; she was too well fed." Is there any source for this idea? I'm not saying it's wrong. But I don't recall any reference to Glimmer's weight in the novel or to her being "well fed." It could be true; I'd just like a specific source, either in the book or in something that's been written somewhere about Glimmer. 24.215.23.139 17:41, March 27, 2012 (UTC)
I don't have my copy of the book with me but I don't seem to remember that exact sentence. It was more like, "she was smart enough to stop climbing before the branches began to strain", or something like that. I definitely don't recall the term "well fed". Alternatively, was her weight shown in the film? I seem to remember that it showed Clove's weight as 100 pounds.Capitolism (talk) 15:01, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
Glimmer and..... Cato?[]
GlimmerandSparkle 16:49, March 25, 2012 (UTC) Ok I just saw the movie and it was so weird Glimmer was being all flirty with Cato. I <3 <3 <3 Glimmer (as you can proabably tell by my username) but it seems so weird thinking she would be with Cato. Also (spoiler alert) when they were sleeping under the tree where Katniss was about to drop tracker jackers on them, Cato and Glimmer were snuggled up together. Glimmer did seem like the type who flirts with everyone, so maybe that was just fake.....?
CLOVES 15
Yeah I noticed this too, I thought it was really weird, epecially because of how Cato acted when Clove died, some people ship Cato and Clove together. Granted in the movie she's like 14 and he's 18 rather than aprox same age. I really just thought the GlimmerxCato was a little pointless. (Leviathan657 20:35, March 25, 2012 (UTC))
Oh. I never though of her as forteen because in the book/movie she always seemed at least the same age as Katniss who was 16. I did notice when Clove was dying, Cato ran to her and begged her to stay with him. (In the book, in the movie he doesn't even show up!) Was that just not wanting to be alone, or something else? GlimmerandSparkle 16:45, March 26, 2012 (UTC)
The actress is young for Clove, she turned 15 in February, so for filming she was 14. I will admit though that they did good with making her look a little bit older. (Leviathan657 01:11, March 27, 2012 (UTC))
I really hated that purely because it made no sense. They're going to kill each other and it isn't even like they're from the same district... I don't know why they decided to add that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kcil118 (talk • contribs) 13:15, April 18, 2012
- Maybe to humanize Cato a bit, especially since he was omitted from the Clove death scene? Or maybe Cato was planning to take advantage of Glimmer's infatuation? BrokenSphere (Talk 20:40, April 18, 2012 (UTC)
It's funny because when Cato was getting mauled by the mutts, he yelled out Glimmer, I think. Jakealock123 15:56, June 20, 2012 (UTC)
I thought it was pretty pointless as well. I mean at first I just theorised that they assumed the two blondes should be together. I figured that it was just a ruse, maybe copying Katniss and Peeta? However, when the tracker-jackers were dropped on the Pack, Cato tries to grab Glimmer's hand before she gets severely stung? Overall, the whole portrayal of the Career Pack (Cato, Clove, the weird change from menacing killers to laughing teenagers) was pretty disappointing. Capitolism (talk) 15:06, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
CLATO ALL THE WAY Y'ALL? AlaaddinDaley (talk) 05:10, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
It is possible that Cato and Glimmer had some form of relationship. Many have noted that they were snuggled together before the tracker jacker skilled her. But after running away from the tracker jackers, he ran back later and stabbed Peeta in the leg. I think he came back for Glimmer, realized it was too late, and decided to take out his anger by trying to kill Peeta. --98.234.2.17 04:41, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

MOST INEXPERIENCED!!! :([]
Ok Glimmer isn't the most inexperienced out of all the careers! All of them got a 10 and Marvel got a 9 so obviously he's the most inexperienced!
Yeah, she had the the worst odds of winning out of all the careers, and shes training score sould have been 8 or 7 instead of 9, cuz she can´t shoot. I mean Marvel had same training score and he throws spears to bullseye, and Glimmer can´t even hit the human target! Glimmer sucks, dumb blond bitch... CatoET (talk) 17:00, May 14, 2013 (UTC)
NO GLIMMER GOT A SCORE OF 8!!!!!
Well getting a lower score doesn't determine inexperience. I think Glimmer is purely because we know Cato and Clove are blood thirsty and also that Marvel managed to get away from the Tracker Jackers while she didn't. Just an opinion by the way. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kcil118 (talk • contribs) 13:15, April 18, 2012
Ummm and Glimmer never missed the target in the movie! I just watched it and again Glimmer was the cloesest to the nest they all swarmed for her so of course the others escaped they didn't go for them!
~GlimmerDistrict1
um no she did miss the target... by A LOT.

Girl i just watched the movie
~GlimmerDistrict1
Well you obviously have a really bad memory. and didn't she get a 9 not a 10?
The pearl ♥ I will always remember ♥ 05:23, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
Cato tried to pull Glimmer away but as the bees swarmed him, he gave up so it shows IN THE MOVIE he has feelings for Glimmer. Romantic or not.

~GlimmerDistrict1 is correct. I saw watched the training score scene on YouTube. Glimmer does indeed get 10. This article needs serious editing, it almost seems like the person who wrote it wants Glimmer to be weak...
Glimmer was the first career to die, so that may be translated as weak or unexperienced but I think it's a bit of a stretch to say she's the weakest.

Techincly Glimmer was the 4th to first Career to die. Remember the District 4 male(Killed at bloodbath, stung by tracker jackers). Angry birds12 , July 7, 2012 (UTC) In the book the 4 female dies after GlimmerDistrict1er (talk) 16:41, August 25, 2012 (UTC)
But she was the first important Career to die, then Marvel, then Clove, and then Cato.

All that means is that she isn't a fast runner. Da Bacon King 16:52, August 25, 2012 (UTC)
Either way, the wiki isn't here for people to post their own judgements. Even if Glimmer was killed early on in the Games, it can't be stated that she was the weakest, especially when her training score was revealed to be 10. I think we should just list the facts and not comment upon whether she was 'weak' or 'strong'. Capitolism (talk) 15:09, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
Name issue. I'm italian and in the italian translation of the book, her name is Lux (in latin, Lux means Light, or Glimmer). Is it worth being written somewehere, maybe in the Trivia section? Because every single name remained the same in the italian translation of the book, only her changes. 79.44.99.200 13:05, September 1, 2012 (UTC)
I hate when people say that, GLimmer is not the most inexperienced, obviously she is extremely experienced, she trained for the hunger games for her whole life. She did miss the target in the training center, big whoop!, so did Katniss. She died from the tracker jackers because she might of either tripped or "the venom of a tracker jacker causes searing pain, powerful hallucination and in extreme cases death" she could of been hallucinating and might of tripped or the pain from the venom could of caused her to fall. But she was not inexperienced. Also, maybe the other careers or Peeta might of accidentally pushed her for their own survival. Moral of the story: Glimmer was not inexperienced and i'm pretty sure if you were in the hunger games with her, you would DIE! :D? AlaaddinDaley (talk) 05:10, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
Glimmers death
Why in the film was she the second fastest career after cato? see them running look how far them two ahead are and she couldent make it? lol..
Glimmer cant even run!
Interview mentioned twice[]
I would do something about this myself, but since a lot of text might needed to be removed I want an admins approval or even better, have an admin do it. In the section called: "Training" they mention a lot about Glimmers interview, however there is already a section called "interview" were they roughly mention the same stuff. Should one of them be removed?

Blonde bombshell?
I`m pretty sure Suzanne Collins based Glimmer off the blonde bombshell stereotype. Can anyone tell me if this is true? I mean, I know Glimmer`s no Elle Woods or Cher Horowitz or a Marilyn, but can someone clear that up for me? Thanks.
