Shouldn't Finnick and Mags be added to the list of known Careers as they were before the 75th Hunger Games, plus theres Lyme from 2, she was also a career, so add them, yes, no? (Leviathan657 03:32, August 28, 2010 (UTC))

Shouldn't that picture be removed? It looks fan made to me. @}-',-- Everdeen 19:02, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

I messaged the user about it. If the user doesn't respond soon, it will be taken down. (If it is later revealed that the picture is official I'll add it again.) Necterine411 Talk HG Fanon Avatar Fanon 19:09, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

The district 3 boy isn't an actual career but instead ended up with the careers. He more than likely did not train his whole life and volunteer.

I know in the movie it said that they volunteer but from what I remember Cato specifically volunteered for the Hunger Games...I'm pretty sure everyone else just got picked when they watched the recap on tv.

Thresh a career?[]

Why did the Careers ask Thresh to join them? Its only for 1,2,and 4.

The careers asked Thresh to join them because of how strong of an opponet he was. They figured why not have him as a friend rather than an enemy since he was such a threat to them.

Careers are illegal?[]

"Even though training tributes before the Games begin is technically illegal, the Career districts get away with this because of their wealth and closer ties to the Capitol."

When/where is this stated? Thanks in advance.Cebr1979 (talk) 02:54, January 30, 2018 (UTC)

"The exceptions are the kids from the wealthier districts, the volunteers, the ones who have been fed and trained throughout their lives for this moment. The tributes from 1, 2, and 4 traditionally have this look about them. It's technically against the rules to train tributes before they reach the Capitol but it happens every year. In District 12, we call them the Career Tributes, or just the Careers. And like as not, the winner will be one of them." – The Hunger Games, page 94
