The second Mellark son was the middle child of Mr. and Mrs. Mellark, the younger brother of the other unnamed son and the older brother of Peeta Mellark.
Biography[]
The Mellarks' second son was born in District 12. He was never reaped for the Hunger Games. According to Katniss Everdeen, he was often at the Mellark bakery and was 17 or 18 years old, because he could have volunteered in place of Peeta at the 74th Hunger Games reaping but chose not to.[1]
When District 12 was bombed by the Capitol, he was killed along with the rest of his family, excluding Peeta.[2]
Skills[]
He was stronger than everyone else in his school, as according to Katniss, he achieved first place in a school wrestling competition. He beat Peeta, who came in second.[3]
