Ripman was one of two male tributes from District 8 who participated in the 50th Hunger Games.^[1]

Biography[]

50th Hunger Games[]

Before the start of the Games, Ripman joined the Newcomers alliance between District 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12 tributes in an attempt to counter the Career pack. Ripman and his district partners were considered "nothing special" by Haymitch Abernathy.^[2]

He died in the initial bloodbath with the rest of his district.^[3]

Physical description[]

The tributes from District 8 wore peach-coloured outfits during the chariot rides and training.^[4]

Etymology[]

Suggesting ripping or fabric tearing.

Trivia[]

Ripman, along with Alpheus, Janus, Nona, Lect, Coil, Bircher, Heartwood, Ryan, Clayton, Midge, and the rest of his district and District 5, is only named on the tribute board.
