Pontius was a young boy who talked to Lucy Gray Baird when she was in the Capitol Zoo. He had a younger sister named Venus.
Biography[]
Pontius was among a group of small children clustered near the bars of the monkey house, where the tributes of the 10th Hunger Games were located. When Coriolanus Snow walked over and asked the children if they would like to meet Lucy Gray, Pontius was eager for the opportunity, having seen her on Capitol TV. He shook hands with Lucy Gray and told her about his sister.[1]

Pontius Pilate was a Roman governor that served under Emperor Tiberius, known for presiding over Jesus' trial and crucifixion.
