- "I can't hardly look at this. Makes my eyes cross."

The "Nest of Mirrors" was the name given to the arena of the 49th Hunger Games, won by Wiress.[1]
Terrain[]
The terrain of the arena was teased through the inclusion of foil, metal bowls, and mirrors in the training stations. The arena was themed around reflective surfaces, meant to disorient the tributes and mess with them mentally. The lakes reflected the sky, and the boulders, caves and cliffs were overlaid with mirrors. Even the clouds were reflective. The tribute's arena wear was also reflective. Wiress figured out how to navigate the arena by looking at the "light beams." The Gamemakers were ashamed of the outcome of this arena, since they were outsmarted by a district girl.[2]
