Biography[]

This woman was a member of the Covey, a nomadic people not tied to any one place.[1] At some point, she gave birth to two unnamed children, and three years before the start of the Dark Days, she gave birth to her youngest, Lucy Gray.[2]

She was the original owner of the ruffled dress Lucy Gray wore throughout the 10th Hunger Games,[1] and she was known to make bread pudding, which was her daughter's favorite.[2]

Death[]

"A few years" prior to the events of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, she, her family, and a number of other Covey were rounded up by Peacekeepers.[1] The father of her children was shot dead for trying to speak out[3] and fight being rounded up.[4] According to Lucy Gray, her mother "[got her] head broken" by Peacekeepers for trying to keep her family together.[4] Her two oldest children died as well, leaving Lucy Gray as the only surviving member of her immediate family.[2]
