Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark's daughter has a younger brother, long dark hair like Katniss and blue eyes like Peeta. She doesn't know of her parents' roles in the Games, although Katniss did want her to know and was sorrowful about having to shatter her children's perceptions of her and Peeta. During the interviews for the 75th Hunger Games, Peeta lied about Katniss being pregnant to try to protect her from the Games, and Katniss later stated that she miscarried due to an electric shock in the arena to avoid further questioning. However, approximately fifteen years after the end of the Second Rebellion, Katniss became pregnant legitimately. Katniss described terrible fear at the feeling of her daughter moving inside her during her pregnancy. The only medicine to heal this fear was finally holding her baby in her arms. At first, Katniss did not want children at all, but Peeta pined for them and she gave in. Katniss truly loved her children, appreciating ignorant they are towards the Games. However, she is remorseful, knowing that someday she will need to tell her children about their parents' role in the Games and the rebellion.
