Heavensbee Hall is a hall in the Academy, presumably named after the wealthy Heavensbee family.
History[]
If a Capitol-born citizen funded a building, they would expect it to be renamed for them.[1]
The hall was where the mentors of the 10th Hunger Games gathered to watch the Reaping ceremonies being broadcast.[2] It was also where the mentors officially met their tributes for the first time.[3]
The mentors watched the Games from Heavensbee Hall, with Lepidus Malmsey interviewing them after significant events.[4] On the last day of the Games, the five remaining mentors decided to sleep in the hall for the night.[5]
Description[]
Heavensbee Hall can be accessed through a vaulted passage, the entrance to which is draped in black banners. The hall itself is cavernous,[2] as well as cold and imposing without decorations. It has a balcony that can be reached via a spiral staircase.[3]
Trivia[]
- Exterior scenes were filmed at the Altes Museum in Berlin, Germany. Interior scenes were filmed in the Bärensaal at the Altes Stadthaus, also in Berlin.[6]
