The Hunger Games trivia[]
- Henry River Mill Village's onscreen fame as District 12 later led to its purchase and use in tours, both for fans of the film and those interested in the place's history.
The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes trivia[]
- The majority of the film was shot on location. The only set in the film was the Snows' apartment, which was shaped like a snowflake.[16]
- A number of circular rooms were chosen to visually evoke the arena, such as the Veterinary Anatomy Theater, Dome Hall, and Monument to the Battle of the Nations.[16]
- While arranging to film at their Polish location for the Meadow for The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, filmmakers expressed interest in building the Covey's house underneath some trees. However, according to Francis Lawrence, the landowner was resistant to the idea because he believed there was Nazi gold buried underneath them, and he became suspicious that they were German spies trying to get the gold. The town's mayor and priest had to get involved. Ultimately, the compromise they reached was for filmmakers to build the set 30 feet away. It did not appear in the finished film.[16]
