Elena Sánchez portrayed Cecelia in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. She is both an actress and stuntwoman and has appeared in films such as 21 Jump Street, Looper, Contraband, Olympus Has Fallen, and Beautiful Creatures.
Biography[]
Sánchez was born in Germany to a German mother and Spanish father. Sanchéz started acting during her childhood in productions such as The Nutcracker. Her acting career became serious when she attended Cornell University, where she studied drama. She moved to New York after her graduation and continued her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute.
A brief stint in Florida brought Elena her first starring role in a professional theater production and several lead roles in short films. Since then, she has gone on to work on over 15 feature films and went back to school to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
