In The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Haymitch Abernathy said that the District 6 male and female both won their respective Games with the use of camouflage, hiding until the other tributes were dead.[1] They both developed addictions to morphling to cope with their trauma.[2]

Death[]

The District 6 male was killed in the initial Cornucopia bloodbath on the first day of the Games. Like most of the tributes, he ran for supplies. He was likely killed by one of the Career Tributes, as they had gathered around the Cornucopia.[5] He placed around 17th-23rd.

Katniss was dismayed by his death and grieved for him, Cecelia, and Seeder later that night.[6]

Later, when Katniss was on the hovercraft to District 13 after being broken out of the 75th Hunger Games arena, Haymitch revealed that District 6's tributes, among others, had known of the rebellion and were a part of the alliance to save Katniss.[7]

Physical description[]

Due to his morphling addiction, he was bone thin, with sagging yellowish skin and overlarge eyes.[2]

Trivia[]

  • Around the time of the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss mentioned there was a recent male victor who only had a training score of three.[8] Some fans have speculated that this was the male morphling.
