Buck was one of two male tributes from District 10 who participated in the 50th Hunger Games.[1]

Biography[]

50th Hunger Games[]

During the chariot rides, the chariot carrying District 10 narrowly missed colliding with District 11.[2] Before the start of the games, Buck joined an alliance between District 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 tributes in an attempt to counter the Career pack. He gave Ampert a lariat. His token was a horseshoe.[3]

During the Games, Buck was with Chicory and Hull when they were attacked by the muttation of a porcupine. He and Chicory were discovered writhing in pain and pawing at its long metal quills imbedded in their bodies. By the time Haymitch Abernathy and Maysilee Donner were able to chase the porcupine away, Buck was dead.[4]

Etymology[]

Male livestock animal (goat, deer), strongly farm-related.

Physical description[]

Buck, along with the other three tributes from District 10, wore a "sexy red cowboy suit" during the chariot rides.[2] District 10 was seen wearing crimson during the training sessions.
