Bristel is a coal miner from District 12. They were crewmates with Gale Hawthorne and Thom, and are possibly from the Seam.
Biography[]
Bristel appeared when Gale was whipped by Romulus Thread for poaching in the woods outside District 12. Bristel and Thom pieced together the story of what happened as they carried Gale to Mrs. Everdeen's home. They had seen the whipping, and Bristel knew that it would have been worse if Gale had been carrying more than just a turkey when he was caught. Before going home, Bristel and Thom were given money by Haymitch Abernathy.[1]
Their fate is unknown, but it is likely that they were killed in the bombing of District 12, as they were not mentioned among the refugees in District 13.
