Anion was one of two female tributes from District 5 who participated in the 50th Hunger Games.^[1]

Biography[]

50th Hunger Games[]

Before the games, Anion and her district partners were recruited by the Careers to counter the Newcomers.^[2] Anion died with a boy from her district on either the first day during the bloodbath^[3] or from the volcanic eruption on the fourth day.^[4]

Etymology[]

Ion with negative charge, central in electricity and energy generation.

Trivia[]

Sunrise on the Reaping says that a District 5 boy and girl died on the first day, and then the other two on the fourth day. As none of them are named, it is unknown which day Anion died.
Anion, along with Alpheus, Janus, Nona, Lect, Coil, Bircher, Heartwood, Ryan, Clayton, Midge, and the rest of her district and District 8, is only named on the tribute board.
