Angler was one of two male tributes from District 4 who participated in the 50th Hunger Games.^[1]

Biography[]

50th Hunger Games[]

Angler was part of the Career pack in these games. After an explosion on the mountain, Angler continued to join forces with Barba and Panache Barker. They eventually encountered Haymitch Abernathy and tried to attack him. Haymitch stabbed Barba and then Angler in his legs. After he fell down in pain, Haymitch killed him by striking him in the neck with an ax.^[2]

Etymology[]

Could either be a reference to the anglerfish, an order of bony deep-sea fish named for their modified luminescent fin ray which acts as a lure for other fish, or to angling, which is fishing with a rod and hook.

Physical description[]

Angler, along with the other three tributes from District 4, wore a "shimmering deep sea–blue mer[man] suit" during the chariot rides.^[3] Their training outfits were deep-sea blue.^[4]
