The 67th Hunger Games took place seven years before the start of the trilogy. They were won by Augustus Braun, the male tribute from District 1. After his victory, he was hailed as Panem's "Favorite Son" and was known as the "Cavalier Career".[1]

The Games[]
According to Capitol Couture, Augustus cultivated an unkempt persona in the arena.[1]
Aftermath[]
Evidently, he was widely popular in the Capitol; they reportedly sang his praises and labelled him as a figure of reconciliation of the people due to his patriotic manner. On his Victory Tour, Capitol Couture describes him as having a bright and optimistic ensemble, in contrast to how he appeared in his Games.[1]
Trivia[]
- Augustus and his Games were not mentioned in the original trilogy, but revealed by Capitol Couture, a Hunger Games website promoting the movies.[1]
- The German translation of The Hunger Games says that Johanna Mason won seven years prior to the 74th Hunger Games, so at least in that version of the text, this would make her the victor of the 67th.
