The 63rd Hunger Games took place eleven years prior to the start of the trilogy. The victor was Gloss, the male tribute from District 1. He and his sister Cashmere won in consecutive years.[1]
Summary[]
Known tributes[]
- Gloss - District 1 (victor)[1]
The Games[]
Gloss training with throwing knives in the Catching Fire film.
He likely formed a typical alliance with other Career Tributes, since he was from one of the Career districts and Katniss Everdeen described him as a "classic Career".[2]
Trivia[]
- In The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Cashmere and Gloss were both adept with throwing knives,[3] so that may have been his weapon of choice during his first Games.
- According to Capitol Couture, Gloss's sister Cashmere won the 64th Hunger Games.[4] Since Finnick Odair won the 65th Hunger Games the following year,[5] Gloss had to have won the 63rd in order for the siblings' wins to be consecutive.
