"My Games were so long ago. Training, if you could call it that, was minimal back then. We didn’t get any clues, in or out of the arena."
Mags[src]

The 11th Hunger Games were held one year after the events of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes[1] and sixty-three years prior to the start of the trilogy. The victor was sixteen-year-old Mags Flanagan, the female tribute from District 4.[2]

Summary[]

Known tributes[]

Pre-Games[]

Betting, sponsorship, sponsor gifts, and interviews— all introduced during the 10th Hunger Games[4][5]— were carried forward into the 11th.[6] New developments this year aimed to increase engagement in both the Capitol and the districts, and to encourage stronger tributes to volunteer. These additions included a monetary prize for the victor, food parcels for their entire district, and the creation of the Victors' Village.[1] The tributes had minimal training.[3] For the first time, the Games took place in the wild, as opposed to the Capitol Arena.[7]

The Games[]

Mags valued having allies, and they took turns keeping watch at night. Her main desire was to protect her district partner.[3]

Aftermath[]

Mags would have been the first new victor to move into a Victors' Village and the first to officially receive compensation for winning the Hunger Games. District 4 would have been the first to receive the promised food parcels as well.

Based on promotional materials for the films released on Capitol Couture, Mags was also the first victor to embark on a Victory Tour.[2]
